Lens fit check

Camera Lens Compatibility Checker

Pick a camera and a lens. See if they fit, how they look together, and what the lens can do. Simple words, no tech background needed.

How it looks when connected

3D preview

Drag to turn it. Use Labels to show or hide the name tags, and Hood to show or hide the lens hood that comes in the box. Pinch or use the Zoom buttons to get closer. With the keyboard, click the picture and use the arrow keys. Camera and lens use close to their real sizes and styles. Small details such as buttons are simplified, and the adapter size is to scale. For the exact look, load a real 3D model below.

Use a real 3D model (.glb file)

Load a .glb file for the camera or the lens you picked. It is saved in this browser and used every time you pick that item. Use a camera body without a lens attached. If the model faces the wrong way, use the Turn and Tilt buttons.

What to expect

    What this lens can do

Find a lens for what you shoot

    Beginner words, explained
    Focal length (mm)
How wide or how close the view is. Small numbers like 16 to 35 show a wide scene. Big numbers like 200 or more bring far things close.
    Aperture (f/1.8)
How wide the lens opens. A small f-number (f/1.4 to f/2.8) lets in lots of light and blurs the background. A big number (f/5.6 or more) lets in less light.
    Prime and zoom
A prime lens has one fixed view, so you walk closer or farther. A zoom lens changes the view when you turn the ring. Primes are often lighter and open wider.
    Stabilization
Also called IS, OSS, VR or O.I.S. It reduces blur from shaky hands. It helps in dim light and in video.
    Mount
The ring where the lens locks onto the camera. Each brand has its own mount, and the shapes do not match.
    Adapter
A ring that sits between the lens and the camera and joins two different mounts. Some adapters have electronics for autofocus. Simple rings have none.
    Sensor size and crop
A smaller sensor sees a smaller part of the scene. APS-C is about x1.5 (Canon x1.6). Micro Four Thirds is x2. A 50 mm lens on APS-C looks like a 75 mm lens.
    Flange distance
How far the mount is from the sensor. An adapter adds space, so a lens only works on a camera whose mount is closer to the sensor than the lens expects.
    Autofocus (AF)
The camera focuses for you. With some adapters it works fully, with some it is slower, and with simple rings you focus by hand.
